Capital Legal Solutions Announces Plans to Adopt Equivio's Innovative Near-Duplicate Detection Technology
Grouping near-duplicate documents and emails will enable Capital Legal to provide its clients with a powerful new investigative and potentially cost cutting tool for litigation review
Falls Church, Virginia, January 30, 2006 - Capital Legal Solutions, a leading electronic discovery consultant and service provider to law firms and corporate counsel, announced today that it plans to deploy Equivio's technology for detecting near-duplicate files. Equivio's patent-pending technology is a smart new tool that arms reviewers with the capacity to quickly and reliably identify similar documents. By deploying the tool, reviewers can cut review time by weeding out extraneous materials or hone in on relevant documents central to their case. Legal counsel can now discover the changes made to key corporate communications by central players within minutes or hours rather than days, weeks or months.

Capital Legal plans to provide the Equivio-based near-duplicate detection capability in its EZ Review application for native file review. Capital Legal will also offer near-duping as a service for its other processing offerings. Equivio will be used for near-duplicate detection in both electronic and OCR collections.
