USDOJ Adopts Equivio Technology for Near-Duplicate Detection and Email Thread Analysis
Rockville, MD and Chantilly, VA – January 16, 2008– Equivio, the provider of near-duplicate detection technology, and TechLaw Solutions today announced that the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA), a component of the U.S. Department of Justice (USDOJ), has adopted Equivio’s technology for grouping of near-duplicate documents and reconstructing email threads.
The Equivio products are being deployed in EOUSA’s Litigation Technology Service Center (LTSC), to provide electronic discovery services for all U.S. Attorneys’ Offices.
Equivio’s technology assists the attorney’s focus on the data they need to win cases. The grouping of near-duplicates and email threads allow attorneys to skip redundant data, while focusing exclusively on the unique information in each document. This will reduce risk, ensuring key data is not missed and that similar documents are treated consistently.
