Trilantic to provide Equivio's Innovative Near-Duplicate Detection Technology in UK and Europe

By grouping near-duplicate electronic and paper documents, Trilantic helps their clients to reduce time, cost, and risks associated with document review

London, 11 May, 2006 - TRILANTIC, specialists in the eDisclosure and litigation support market, have today announced that they have added Equivio’s innovative technology for detecting near-duplicate files to their service offering.

Equivio’s breakthrough patent-pending technology clusters near-duplicate documents of nearly any format or file type. Most significant to this development is Trilantic’s new capability to identify the paper copy of an electronic document or vice versa.

“Possibly even more important to our clients than Equivio’s ability to group similar documents, is the power of this new technology to identify the unique documents within collections whether they started as paper or electronic documents. The idea that you can now quickly identify the documents disclosed by the other side that are unique to the documents which you have already reviewed is quite exciting,” said Nigel Murray, Managing Director of Trilantic.

Murray went on to say, “The inclusion of Equivio in our service offering strengthens our commitment to reduce costs and save time for our clients during a period of unprecedented growth of document collections in litigation.”

Equivio is available from Trilantic as a stand alone service or can be incorporated into project workflows according to the specific challenges of any case. The solution works with nearly every file type and format on the market and integrates fully with most of the leading litigation support software systems.

“Faced by ever larger document collections, the UK and European legal industry is looking for ways to control the growing costs and complexity of litigation,” said Amir Milo, CEO of Equivio, “Responding to this need, Trilantic has demonstrated vision and agility in quickly adopting Equivio’s technology. With near-duplicates representing 20 to 50% of typical collections, Trilantic’s deployment of Equivio can significantly reduce redundant effort in the litigation process.”

As an introduction to the new solution to the UK and European legal market, Trilantic is offering free trials with your sample data. Please contact Joy Seletsky on +44 (0)207 042 1000 or joy.seletsky@trilantic.co.uk for further details.
